Immunity Booster Green Smoothie And A 10 Minute Workout By Under Armour Trainer Natalie Uhling

Let’s Hail to the Kale! I have had a nasty bug over the last few days so I thought I would blend up a delicious immunity booster green smoothie. I always use spinach for my smoothies so I decided to try the almighty Kale. I know it is packed full of goodness such as being high in Vitamins A, C and K. It is also full of fiber (1 cup has about 5 grams), high in iron, and it is filled with antioxidants. A green smoothie is a great way to incorporate this powerhouse food into my Β life so I came up with this, the Powerful Punch!

1 cup fresh kale

1 cup fresh spinach

1/2 cup of 100% cranberry juice, unsweetened

1/2 cup water

1 orange

juice of 1 lime

1/2 cup pomegranate seeds

Blend the kale, spinach, juice and water until smooth. Add remaining ingredients and blend. Enjoy this powerful and refreshing immunity boosting punch.

Check out this beautiful powerhouse sitting quietly behind the great bunch of spinach.

Now on to my workout which has not happened in the past few days due to this nasty bug. I am recovering and plan to be back in action tomorrow. I did not get to post a Fit In 5 workout this week, so I am sharing one of my new favorites, no equipment needed with the awesome Under Armour trainer Natalie Uhling. It is a full body workout that is fun, motivating and will make you sweat like you have been working out for an hour. The best part, it is only 10 minutes! This is on my list this week πŸ™‚

Check out this awesome workout.

The Goddess Green Smoothie And Resolutions

It’s resolution time. I have made different resolutions many times. Some I have completed, some not so much. I always like to make one or two and set new goals for the new year. One I am making this year is to become more organized. I will set some goals with dates to get my house organized. Also, I want to start a bigger garden this year so I am going to begin getting the outside garden area prepped for spring planting. I love fresh herbs and I always have some type of herbs growing because I love to use them in cooking and in my smoothies. Right now I have a whole bunch of parsley thriving in my yard, so I put a little in my latest concoction below. Also, I will be bringing you recipes for smoothies and more πŸ™‚ Happy New Year!

This is my new green smoothie. It has anti aging benefits, detoxifying benefits, slim down benefits etc. It is full of goodness. I call it “The Goddess” green smoothie. The husband says it is the best green smoothie I have made yet. Green smoothies are so easy to make and for me it is a great way to get in extra greens, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants all in a low-calorie sweet treat. I look forward to it daily. To make, just combine to handfuls of organic spinach, 1 organic apple, 1 handful of parsley (I picked from my garden/you can see it in there) 2 frozen ripe bananas, a few chunks of pineapple, and enough spring water to your liking. Blend in a powerful blender. I use aΒ Ninja.Β It blends and chops to a great smoothie consistency in seconds. Pour in a glass and enjoy the healthy benefits.
